Launched in July 2007, r:age is a group for children in School Years 4, 5 and 6. While presently r:age only runs at St Hugh's, Coach Road, we do hope to start a new r:age group at St James's soon after the building is newly refurbished and reopened around March 2008.

We meet on a Wednesday evening between 5.30 and 6.30. We have a team of Leaders from our three congregations who give their time so that the children can spend the hour playing table-top games, table football, at the Tuck Shop or on the Nintendo Wii. All of the twelve leaders are fully CRB checked. We don't charge children to come to r:age, but they have to buy their own tuck!

Every Friday night at 4.30 as many of the Leaders as can do so, meet to visit those children who regualrly come. We'll knock at their doors, have a brief chat with them and their families, and encourage them to come along on the following Wednesday. Through the winter months we wont expect to chat, but we'll still aim to deliver a sheet for the following Wednesday!

From time to time we may invite the r:age children and their families along to a particular event of service.

If you know of someone in School Years 4, 5 or 6 who might like to come along to r:age, simply bring them along on a Wednesday, and as long as we are not full, they will be welcome to join us.  If we are full, they can gladly join our waiting list. They will need an adult with them to fill in all the necessary forms.
