On the first Sunday of the month we offer The 11.30. This is a short, interactive Church experience for all the family, focussing on younger children. There will be activities to do and songs to sing, but always to help us learn something useful from the Bible.
We don't use books for words or songs, but everything is projected on a screen. We don't expect people to sit down for 45 minutes but there will always be a reason to get up, move around and interact with other people there.
The 11.30 started in November 2007, as a response to our need to revamp the way we were working with our children. It replaced the Fish Club which used to meet on a Tuesday after school. Just like Fish Club, we hope The 11.30 will be the kind of thing that children can invite their friends to, without having to feel embarrassed about asking them to come to 'Church'.
Paul is responsible for The 11.30, and a group of our childrens' workers meet together regularly to plan and review them. You would be welcome to join that group, and get in touch with Paul for further details.
The next 11.30 is due to be on Sunday January the 6th, 2008. It will be great to see you there!
